Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Hey Pallo is currently in beta testing and is operated by Rooted Studio LLC ("Rooted Studio," "we," "us," or "our").

Your home is personal. We believe your data should be treated that way.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have when you use Hey Pallo ("Pallo"), including during beta testing.

1. The short version

Pallo helps you organize and manage household life. Depending on how you use it, you may choose to give Pallo information about your tasks, calendar, routines, meals, home, family, maintenance, documents, photos, and other household information.

Our approach is simple:

  • We collect information needed to provide, secure, and improve Pallo.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your private household information for third-party advertising.
  • Connecting outside accounts and services is optional.
  • We only request access needed for the features you choose to use.
  • Your private household content remains yours.
  • You can disconnect integrations and request deletion of your account.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Pallo.

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect information such as:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • profile information;
  • authentication information; and
  • account and household settings.

If you sign in through a third-party provider, such as Google, we may receive basic account information that provider makes available to us.

Household content

You may choose to add information to Pallo, including:

  • tasks and projects;
  • calendar events;
  • routines and schedules;
  • grocery lists and meal information;
  • notes and reminders;
  • home and appliance information;
  • maintenance records;
  • vehicle information;
  • photos and documents;
  • household member information;
  • memories and other information you choose to save; and
  • information submitted through supported intake methods.

We refer to this information as Household Content.

You decide what Household Content you add to Pallo.

Connected services

You may choose to connect third-party services such as Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Tasks, or other supported services.

Depending on the integration and permissions you approve, Pallo may access information from those services to provide the features you requested.

For example, Pallo may use calendar information to display household schedules or use information from an authorized message to help create a task, reminder, event, or household record.

Connecting these services is optional.

You may disconnect a supported integration at any time.

Photos, files, and links

If you upload a photo, document, receipt, product link, manual, or other file, we may process its contents to provide the feature you requested.

For example, Pallo may analyze an appliance photo or product page to identify relevant appliance information.

Usage and device information

We may automatically collect limited technical information such as:

  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • IP address;
  • pages and features used;
  • timestamps;
  • crash information; and
  • diagnostic and performance data.

We use this information to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Pallo.

Communications

If you contact us for support, provide feedback, participate in beta testing, or communicate with us for another reason, we may retain your message and related account information so we can respond and improve the product.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • provide Pallo and its features;
  • organize and display your household information;
  • sync information from services you choose to connect;
  • create tasks, reminders, events, summaries, insights, or other outputs you request;
  • personalize your experience;
  • provide AI-powered features;
  • maintain and secure Pallo;
  • identify and fix errors;
  • understand how beta features are being used;
  • improve product performance and functionality;
  • provide customer support;
  • communicate about your account, beta access, or material changes;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your Household Content.

4. AI-powered features

Pallo may use artificial intelligence to help organize information, understand requests, summarize content, identify information, generate suggestions, and provide other features.

When you use an AI-powered feature, information relevant to your request may be processed by AI or infrastructure providers working on our behalf.

We aim to limit the information sent to those providers to what is reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature.

AI systems can make mistakes. You should review important information before relying on it, especially when it relates to finances, health, safety, legal matters, home maintenance, or other consequential decisions.

We may update this section as our AI providers and technical architecture change during beta testing.

5. Google user data

If you connect your Google account, Pallo will only access Google user data after you authorize the requested permissions.

Depending on the features you choose, this may include information from services such as Google Calendar, Gmail, or Google Tasks.

We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing Pallo features you choose to use.

Pallo does not sell Google user data or use it for third-party advertising.

You can revoke Pallo's access to your Google account through your Google account settings or through Pallo where supported.

6. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Pallo, such as providers of:

  • cloud hosting and databases;
  • authentication;
  • artificial intelligence;
  • email and notifications;
  • analytics and product monitoring;
  • payment processing, if introduced; and
  • customer support.

These providers may receive information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for Pallo.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law or legal process;
  • protect the security of Pallo;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, or misuse;
  • protect our rights or the rights and safety of others; or
  • support a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or part of Rooted Studio LLC, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

7. Household sharing

Pallo may allow you to invite other people into a household.

Information shared within a household may be visible to other household members depending on the feature and permissions involved.

Only invite people you trust.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to add information about another person to Pallo.

8. Children

Pallo is designed for adults managing a household and is not directed to children under 13.

Children may not create their own Pallo account unless we introduce a feature that expressly permits it and provides appropriate protections.

A parent or guardian may choose to store information relating to a child as part of their Household Content.

If you believe a child has improperly created an account or provided personal information to us, contact us at [Privacy Email].

9. Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide Pallo;
  • maintain your account;
  • support beta testing;
  • comply with legal requirements;
  • resolve disputes; and
  • protect the security of the service.

You may delete individual content where Pallo provides that functionality.

You may also request deletion of your account by contacting [Privacy Email] or through account controls if that functionality is available.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or other legitimate purposes.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups before they are overwritten.

Disconnecting an integration stops future access through that connection but may not automatically delete information you previously chose to import into Pallo.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • access information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • request deletion;
  • obtain a copy of certain information;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or
  • object to or restrict certain processing.

You can also manage many types of information directly within Pallo.

To make a privacy request, contact [Privacy Email].

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

12. Cookies and analytics

Our website and applications may use cookies or similar technologies necessary to operate the service, remember preferences, understand product usage, and improve performance.

If we introduce advertising, cross-site tracking, or materially different analytics practices in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.

13. Third-party services

Pallo may integrate with or link to services operated by other companies.

Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Connecting a third-party service to Pallo does not make Rooted Studio LLC responsible for that provider's independent privacy practices.

14. Beta testing

Pallo is currently in beta.

During beta testing, features, integrations, data structures, and functionality may change as we develop and improve the product.

We may also collect feedback and product-usage information to understand how beta features perform and where they need improvement.

Any collection and use of personal information during beta remains subject to this Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Pallo will evolve, and this Privacy Policy may change as our product, technology, and practices change.

If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice through Pallo, email, our website, or another appropriate method when required.

The "Last updated" date at the top identifies the current version.
